crop compaction

Hi all,
I am a new subscriber to BYC. I live in Marfa, TX and have 31 chickens in my flock. Yesterday one of my Buff Brahma hens appeared to be in distress, standing listlessly with a dirty vent and fairly full crop. When I picked her up, a yellowish liquid dripped out of her beak. I brought her in, gave her water with a little charcoal and maple syrup which she drank all, then put her in a box in a warm area. Her first evacuation was a matted up twist of green grass, very dry. I felt her crop and it had food in it, felt like scratch, and I gave her more water mixed with a little boiled egg yolk dissolved. She drank all of that, got out of her box and then had a rather large evacuation that was very watery but also had a lot of green fecal matter and some white urates. This morning her crop still has what feels like seed in it so have given warm saline solution alternated with a little olive oil, massaged the crop and waited. She is still having very green droppings, watery basically odorless (one upside). Have not given her solids and it does not feel like the contents of the crop are going down. The crop is not huge and large or hard, but it doesn't seem to empty. Any suggestions on what to do with her would be helpful.

Her system is still functioning and you're doing well. Do you have any yogurt or something similar that will provide protein but not add to impaction? Keep separated until you fell she is acting normally and hopefully it won;t be more than a week when it is harder to re-introduce her to flock.

Thanks so much. I am assuming that since she is still showing separate urates and feces in the droppings that her gizzard isn't too entangled with grass. She does have a bit of appetite, responds well to the supplimented water. I'll get her some yoghurt and mix it with the egg yolk.
