Hi hoping for some help…
Backstory:
One of my hens molted terribly recently and was acting normal until she became hypothermic a few days ago and was unresponsive (I live in the north, we had a cold snap of single digits and below zero for a few days, I was suprise she did well for as long as she did)
Anyway. We warmed her up and found she had an impacted crop (our first one we’ve encountered in the 4 years we’ve had chickens now). Following info on this site we were able to clear the impaction using oil and massage over a couple of days. She is now active and hungry.
My question:
How often and how quickly should I bring her back to regular feed and scratch?
Currenty feeding her scrambled eggs, plain Greek yogurt, applesauce, and nutri-drench in her water with electrolytes.
