I have a chicken who I noticed had a larger crop (I’ve never dealt with this before)

On Sunday I separated her, withheld food for about 36 hours only giving her water. She’s been on monistat since Sunday.

I have given her a tiny bit of scrambled egg here and there, but mostly withholding food.

It doesn’t seem like her crop is getting bigger but it’s not getting smaller.

I massage her twice/three times a day. When I pick her up- fluid comes out. And sometimes when massaging her fluid comes out. I have tried to empty it twice but doesn’t seem to help any. When I’m massaging she’s swallowing.

I have her separated in a crate, with water.

Is there anything else I can do? Or anything else to try?
She’s my best girl, I really don’t want to lose her.

It sounds like crop impaction or potentially sour crop but if the monistat isnt helping I'm leaning more towards impaction. does she have access to grit? Small chick Grit while does add to the volume in the crop will help grind up some of the food in there if its a blockage. Is she pooping at all during the night? Or does it seem like nothing in the crop is headed down and digesting? Sometimes a very little bit of coconut oil like a tiny bit can help get things moving and you want to be careful about massaging it upwards especially if stuff is coming out of her mouth cause you can cause them to aspirate. Ive never dealt with it myself in mine so someone with direct experience may be able to offer better help! hope she feels better soon!
