Crop on left side? Tumor where it should be? ** update**

On Feb 2nd, I figured out what was wrong with my hen. I rechecked her in the morning and the skin under the feathers was bruised over the swelling. Later that afternoon I heard some banging and cacklin from the coop. I peeked in as it wasn't the danger squaks and saw this hen and 2 others attempting to fly up to a crack in the siding where they could see light coming through. They would hit the wall and bounce back and hit the roost 3' from the wall! You one of the EE's bounced off the roost after hitting it with her breast. So that was the cause, silly birds.

I grabbed some thin edging boards we had and covered up the tiny gap where the light was shining through, was about 1/8-3/8 of an inch gap.

I went in and caught You and porcupine head to check them. You had a swelling similar to the original one except not as long. Who knew hens would throw themslves at a wall to try to grab onto a thin strip of light? Both are fine, will see how the swelling goes down. PH is now having sour crop like problem, probably from bruising her crop. Mystery solved I have wall banging insane hens.

Is it swelling or a leaking air sac?

No air came out of it and I tried more then once, I did get a tiny bit of clear fluid. It looks bruised like a blood blister on skin she broke some pin feathers. Swelling has gone down and isn't as long as it was. To me looks like she seperated skin and connective tissue from hitting the 2x4, and bruised it. The other 2 goofy hens have nearly the same thing from smacking into the edge of the board. :/

They were looking up at where the gap used to be this morning, but are no longer jumping up at it to try to catch a non existent edge. I guess for ventilation I will need to make a cover so light can't enter but still get air exchange.

Granny, I guess when I'm out doing chores I'll need to turn it down so they can't hear through my earbuds. A chicken mosh pit, didn't think that listening to Nickelback woulld affect them that bad.
