Crop so full I can see food through skin bulging out on his back!

I have a chick that is 6 weeks old. He got a hold of the grown up chicken pellets and scratch. He is gobbling up so much food that it appears the food just my burst right through his skin! What should I do? Will this clear up on it's own?

What ever happened to your chick? I'm having the same issue right now with a 3 wk old chick. He's happy and active, but it's really bizarre to see seeds and grass in his crop...
