Crops to supplement feed

I have decided to try to grow a couple of things to supplement the feed for my birds. I have the LF Brahmas, and it can get a bit expensive. I read that mangel beets are good to grow. Other than the regular fruit and veggies, and spaghetti of course, is there anything else to grow that the chickens would love to eat and be healthy for them at the same time?
 
We are growing a large area of chicken forage...I posted this to another thread, but I'm really excited about it. It has 20% Common Flax, 5% Ladino Clover, 5% Birdsfoot Broadleaf Trefoil, 10% Non-dormant Alfalfa, 20% Red Cowpeas, and 40% Buckwheat
