I have a chicken and her bottom beak is longer than her top. Do I need to trim the bottom beak back?

Ok I just want to make sure I trim the correct part of the beak. So, if the bottom is sticking out past the top I need to trim the bottom right. This might be a stupid question, but I have never had to do this before and don't want to create a bigger issue for the hen.

I appreciate you help.

No, not stupid. Before trimming look at the beak closely. Usually the coloring will show where it needs to be clipped. Once you do it a couple time it will seem no big deal. Use a fingernail clippers and should you clip a bit too short and there's blood, don't be to worried as it will stop and the beak will grow. Just clip a small bit at a time.
