Cross beak

God love her! She's special. She will probably live a long time !

I've never had a problem clipping little bits of the beak at a time with human toenail clippers in case you don't own a dremel tool. I actually bought a dog nail trimmer similar to a dremel tool but it was not useful. My girl got up to weight and layed well.

I use a drimmel for our dogs toe nails so I will try to help our little crooked beak and I hope she will be a good layer like yours

Oh goodness, mine is no where that bad. I just went and got the little fellow and trimed it. maybe it will help.

Clippers are definitely better than nothing when there are no other options. But they do carry a risk for splintering, so if you have the option of a dremel it's really the better method. Those grinders sold for pet nails are nothing but over-priced, under-powered dremels, I'd stick with the real thing. Plus it has so many other uses besides pet grooming. Granted, mine is mostly used for beak trims and dog nail trims...but we owned it before we got the animals so I know it gets used for other things from time to time.
