Cross billed beak

@Stiggy I don't have a photo of her. I am picking her up tomorrow

I think as long as you can get enough food into her she should probably be fine. The biggest problem with crossed beaked hens is that they usually can't eat enough on their own, but it depends on how severe it is. There is a lot of information out there on how to care for them and different ways of mixing food to make sure they eat. Or if you want you can even tube feed. I think floating around here somewhere is a thread in which someone who had a cross beak got an egg every day from it. Good luck with her, hopefully you don't have any issues. Look into the ling that Sumi provided for you. In that there are plenty of people who have cross beaked chickens and they all do just fine.

Yes it does depend on the severity. I have a Silkie with a very minor case of it however its not a genetic thing. I trim hers back regularly with a pedi paws nail grinder, it just helps for her beak to align better for easier preening and eating, having said that hers is only minor and because I caught it early ive been able to keep it trimmed so that it doesn't grow long and grow nerves and blood vessels
