Blue Egg Gene, & Pea comb aren't exactly connected. Crested Cream legbars lay blue eggs, & have single combs.
My EE, rooster carries the blue egg gene, & has a Sheild Comb(Single Comb Without the points.) He hatched from a blue egg, & one of his Offspring laid olive eggs.
They were created at a University? That's interesting.I don’t think it was easy making the CCL with the comb, the genes are really close and go together 98% of the time or something like that. But they were created at a university so.... cool project.

Yep. Hope you have luck.Yeah cool eh? I read a bit about it because I have a couple peacomb OE. I want my FM birds to lay green one day but I like the single comb so I’ll probably get CCL to add to the mix.
