Cross Continental Friends!!!

AMoorhen flocked like yours would like me too, seems small enough to put it in my program the first bantam rooster, whose egg comes from Eritrea, in the Horn of Africa, clearly has the blood of chickens native to Madagascar, gradually imbastarditi with European breeds, it is still a good base to work on recovery, maybe not, but it looks gigantic80 cm tall to 5.5 kg in weight, the other Italian breeds of roosters, close to him seem all the dwarves, the true dwarves did not arrive either in the ches

the chickens that belong to the category "game" are generally very good with whom we breed, it's good to know that they have other Gauls a beak, if you do not want to see them azzuffare, many bind them to a paw as if they were guard dogs

please dont get annoyed but the translator doesnt seem to know a translation for the word "al gallo" so im not sure as to what you mean when you said "you should find a way to make a first floor al gallo". the rooster in the picture has all his wattles and crest too are you saying that the Monza has its wattles and crest cut? are you saying the white hen would be good in your program?(again im sorry but the translator can be confusing sometimes.) what do you plan on using the first rooster for when breeding, what kind of hen? yes the rooster look better when the picture is more bigger the last one has nice marking on him. is he mixed with a game chicken? your chickens the ones that are native to italy(i think) seem to sound a little similar to the wild chickens here. they tend to be short and the hens are extra short, but you can also find ones that are a little bigger. the rooster in my picture he is around 7-8 months and my roosters are 5 months and are taller than he is.

well i plan on trying to use him for breeding if i can and if he doesnt get the chance to breed with them then ill just let him stick around he seems to be a calm rooster compared to his father.

if i had to guess i think the chick is probably a hen, but im not the best at guessing lol. how do you get the chickens to have less hair on the necks. mine have such big bow ties.

find a way to take a better picture to the rooster close to car, I understand wich size is, hte same of Bartolo "er monzese," but, I can't clearly see the shape of his head and body, looks like previous owner cut out its comb and wattles. I like to own an hen like your, looks little enough to partecipate to my bantam selection (programma=progetto)

the egg who hatch the big rooster come from Eritrea (ex italian colony, close to saudi Arabia), it represent the local poultry, a gradual crossbreed between Madagascar game (malgache) and some europeand breeds (big combs and huge wattles), it's 80 cm tall for 5,5kg, close to him italian breeds roosters looks like bantams, real bantams can't even get closer to the chest

Bartolo has a beautiful natural rosecomb, why thinking about cutting it? trying to re-create my own line of Madagascar game, I'm planning on use some big and tall game hens with single wattle and walnut and\or pea comb with my "tiny monster" Flamin' Frank (isn't he a cute teddy bear?) european lines are too small for me, roosters can't even reach 4 kg cause they use Ga Don Noi crossed with little Malays, excluding the big african monster, selected at first place for size and "gameyness" instead of their looks, it's a big dare, but they said me the same thing at the times of Carmagnola project sexing games is not so easy, with animals selected for having no wattles and very little combs, guessing until they are at least three months old could be very difficult, sometimes, you cant sex O-Shamo at six months, guess the sex of the black one in the first picture you guess the black chick is a female, I hope so, but, its head starts to going red day by day Madagascar is an hard feathered breed, at two months old males still are bald on the back bow ties are an argument apart, pure naked necks got no bow or very little one (monozigote), crossbreeds got big bow ties (eterozigote), look at the pure male in the second picture

Ciao everyone! Sorry I've been gone so much. I am so tired. Spent all day at the hospital with my niece. She may need a heart transplant. I hope not. Prayers or good thoughts or whatever it is you do for her heart to heal and if I am missing for a long time. You know what I am busy with. My niece Elizabeth is so beautiful. ( She gets it from me.

) And I wish only the best for her.

How is everyone?

when you say bartolo do you mean the rooster or the hen? and no i do not want to cut it, i would never do something like that, i can not even kill a chicken haha.

Flamin Frank is pretty im sure he would make some good looking chickens if you pair him with the right hens. have you started any yet with him?

what was the carmagnola project?

the wild chickens here are somewhat easy to sex here because sometimes the rooster chicks start to show there crest and wattles sooner than the hens. although sometimes when the wild ones here have chicks what i think is a hen sometimes turn into a rooster. if i were to guess the black one i would say hen, but sense you asked me to guess im guessing it is actually a rooster?

he is so nacked you are pretty lucky. how did you get him to be that naked? all the chicks at the feed store here only have chicks with bow ties. lol so jealous of him.

i understand what you mean now. tomorrow i'll try to take another picture, but he is a wild rooster(does not belong to anyone), but i am trying to get him to trust me so he will stay here and not leave to find another flock of chickens somewhere else. no he has his wattles and his crest it is just that the picture is sort of blurry so you are not able to see it good. haha i would send you some of her eggs, but i can not find her eggs anywhere and i don't have the papers to do so, but that would be so cool to swap some chicken eggs! i also want to use here for breeding to see what her chicks would like if i bred her with the wild one. i wanted to use her with the one in my avatar picture, but that is the one that died. i was going to try to keep breeding the chickens until i could get a pure white naked neck chicken with white legs.

lol the other chickens must think he is a dinosaur. are you using him in a breeding program?

dont worry i found a new translation site that works a lot better and now i can understand what you are saying better.

oh right i forgot it is still cold in other places.

im sorry if i ask to many questions about what this or that is i am just new to this chicken stuff and just trying to learn. usually if i do not understand what a type of comb is i will just look it up so do not worry. about that.

if i were to go by the picture i would say rooster. something about his stance seems a little cocky and also in the picture towards his tail it looks like he has saddle feathers, but if i am wrong at least i tried!:)

i managed to get some pictures of the wild rooster today i could not get a picture of him by the car, but here are some pictures i took(some are blurry. these chickens never want to stand still!):

i just wanted to say this morning when i was outside watching the chickens he was next to the white hen drinking water and he was pretty much the same size and height as her except her head might have been taller than his by a little less than an inch.

Thank you, she's doing well, she's tough and so are the rest of us and we can make it through whatever ends up happening. I strongly believe it could still heal with no transplant. That is my wish.

I did make cheese, but only once, I need to do it again as it turned out very well. As for the goats, I might help my friend kid this year, they might need me to watch the farm during kidding season, but with my niece in the Hospital we'll see how that works out. Soon though I will be buying some Fiber goats so I can make yarn. I am very happy about that.
