Cross Continental Friends!!!

yesterday I stayed 12 hours working under the water, my fingers were aching for thee cold

tomorrow it's time for bureaucracy again

I love this thread, great idea!

I also live on the East Coast - in North Carolina. I live in the middle of the state - it's referred to as the Piedmont area. We are two hours from the mountains and three hours from the beach. We have a farm with horses, chickens, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a cat named Myka and a pig named Bella. Bill, I have two grandchildren and I am 42! They are wonderful.

My husband is a carpenter, and I am a representative for a gourmet food broker. We like to take our horses trail riding in our spare time, and we do a lot of gardening.

Nice to meet you all.

Welcome TarheelBirdy! Glad you joined the thread! You sound very interesting! What kind of horses and chickens?

Bill, What do you mean underwater? What ever were you doing, if you dont mind me asking?

We have two American Quarter Horses, a Paint, and one that is a Morgan/QH cross. I breed Swedish Flower Hens and Silver Laced Wyandottes, and then I have a free-range group of girls who lay our breakfast eggs (Ameraucanas and RIR). Right now I am incubating a big batch of Wheaten Marans - I want some dark-brown-egg layers! How about you? What kind of chickens do you have?

Are you doing your bilingual studies online or do you go to school?

I am attempting to teach myself! So pretty much at home using books , online information and even more books, oh yeah and did I mention books!! I raise an assortment of bantams, Cochins, A couple Easter Eggers and one Silkie Rooster. He is by far my favorite!

I'm trying to learn Spanish too, the same way as you but I also took an online Spanish course. My biggest challenge is not having an instructor to correct me when I'm wrong, let me know if I'm correct, etc. I'm thinking about taking a class at the community college.

What makes the Silkie your favorite? I've never had one, I'm afraid a predator would get it. They seem so docile.

yesterday i worked under the rain, obviously, i can't skip this duties

tomorrow (it's today, now), I've got some other boring things to do, I truly hope to survive

it's one o'clock here, buonanotte signore!

Good night Bill! Sleep well!

Gorilla (silkie's name) is super sweet! He loves to raise chicks and I am pretty sure that if he knew how to hatch eggs he would! If his babies get put then he stands at the door and worries over them and calls them home just like there mother!
