This morning Peggy the three legged goat gave birth to two does. It was timed perfectly to leave me almost late for work. Thank heavens for friends to help in a pinch, my friend who likes Peggy arrived to save the day and keep a watchful eye over the new family. This afternoon, when I came tearing home ahead of a thunderstorm, i found La Niña Linda had moved everyone into shelter. And somehow the second doe kid was a spunky little buck, too. Huh! Smart kid, that girl of mine!
Here is La Niña Linda and her friend Morgan dressed as fauns (I thought fauns were always male, but whatever) at the renaissance faire somewhat before the thunderstorm. La Niña Linda is on the left.

me too qwackers operation over fowl as my wife and i call it lol was three months in the planning, here there exist no pure lines most of what is available to us is all cross breed mutts out of the local game fowl very poor layers and small meatless eating machines, so i decided to take matters into my own hands. so i started researching incubators and techniques for mechanical incubation ,i ordered incubators and had them sent to my sons home in Ohio used byc to locate premium stock then i flew up to the U.S to pick it all up i hope to hatch at least the breeding trios needed to establish a breeding flock we are pretty exited about the whole thing it has been a fun journey

that's great Karen what breed of goat is she ? my son was involved with 4h dairy goats when he was young we raised Nubian's they were awesome they quickly became a big part of our family they where so much fun as my kids grew older and their interest changed from the farm to becoming adults our herd grew older and we sold off our breeding stock but the memories of those Nubian's remain they were great i miss them

A turkey pen, cool. We have considered raising a turkey for thanksgiving but my mom is afraid she would get attached and not be able to eat it!

Yay! Congrats on the double kids! At least you late with news of a doe instead of just bucklings! Although I for one like the cute little boys that no-one seems to want, I was gonna pick them up, castrate them and teach them to pull. But as you know I have a great big wanna do list. And that is a cute picture, among my limited skills face painting is one of them, along with airbrushing.
