Oh wow....you are going to have to teach me about growing mushrooms. I contacted NC A&T University (which is only a half hour from here) about a special mushroom growing clinic they have and they never got back to me. The man who teaches it is supposedly the nation's number 1 guy in the field. Anyway, I want to grow some. How was your harvest?

Harvest was pretty good! We got about fifteen big shrooms off that little box. The really cool thing is that you can resoak the bag and do it again.Ultimately we can ( according to the instructions) get about a pound and a half off the box!! 5 or 7 harvests! And they tasted really really good! The name of the company is Back To The Roots. this is the link to the Q and A page if you want to read about it, My dad wants to get into growing them from the plug so I'll keep you posted on how that works out!

Bill i too have meat rabbits but they never seem to end up as meat go figure ,,,,when we started with them i asked my wife if she would have any problems when it came time to butcher and eat them and she said no the one i had at the restaurant was Delicious but now they dont look so tasty out in the hutch ,,,lol

Thanks! I hadn't heard of the way you just did it - I had been reading up on, and planning to grow from plug. It's just that we have so much going on, and it's just the two of us (at least until the grandkids get big enough to put to work, lol).

now is perfect its summer here or the dry season ,, but it does depend on where you want to go when you are here it is a small country about the size of the state of west Virginia but it is very unique as it contains what are called micro ecosystems because of its location above the equator and proximity to the Caribbean and pacific oceans high elevations different areas have very different climates its a really cool place

You could always send them to freezer-camp til it's time for stew.

That's what we used to do but with our current tragedy no-one can bring themselves to kill anything.

How is DE used with horses?

I think you rub it into the hair and sprinkle it all over where ever you keep your compost pile to keep them from hatching.

Oh don't worry I didn't take it as being insensitive. And thank you, i think I'm going to call one if those wanted ads for people's unwanted livestock. Missed the Auction but maybe I'll wait for that to, not sure yet!
