Cross Continental Friends!!!

Hey, that's fine. Hopefully tomorrow I get to take a better picture. Then I'll post it on another page and see what happens. Hubby thinks it might be fine playing the mating game w/ him. I'm not so sure as we don't have anything like him. Americana's, Rhodie's. buff Orpingtons, there's no way I'll let him near my silkies. But I would love to find a daddy for them! Woo how!!! So what did you do today. What are you thinking for college courses?

Bill and El pollo rey took a guess at it, and I'm sure you'll get more answers on the other threads!

Today I was outside almost the whole time! We re-set and are re-filling our pool, I did a ton of gardening! Planted tomatoes, peppers, weeded, watered, harvested my peas, re-tilled some ground, etc... Hopefully tomorrow I'll start harvesting my potatoes! Yay! We had some really good friends over for a bit, and now were are back outside, well, I came in for a sec!

College courses, not real sure yet! I was considering Real Estate or Multilingual translator/interpreter. I'm going to also take some Animal Control courses, but that's for fun and it helps get me certified for some things I'll probably find handy. I want to get into wildlife re-hab. There's a place I'll probably volunteer at for a while and then I want to get my own license to do it.

What about you, what all did you do today?

I love auto correct, darian witch, indeed!
We have already driven to the very farthest northern point you can in North America, Deadhorse. Farthest western point as well, you could see that volcano in Alaska that has been erupting recently across the water and far into the distance. Don't recall names just at this point. Of course, for us, it is much more about the journey and not the destination. We discuss what sort of vehicle to take and will likely end up with the ubiquitous mini van as they seem to have them all over the world, you can get a 4x4 if need be (unlikely) and you can sleep in it in a pinch.
Personally I would not want to miss Columbia completely but hate the thought of becoming a statistic, too. My father in law loves Columbia, I am curious as to why.
Anyway, it's something to contemplate as I work and try to get my fellow employees to speak Spanish just a little slower so I stand a chance. I can get meaning overall and about 1 in 3 words and am more than willing to spout off in Spanish given the opportunity. I am okay with animal names but get befuddled with verb tenses as nobody has explained them to me. At least I can get my 'el' and 'la' and 'Los' and 'las' nailed.
Everyone has to have a dream, right?

Karen

Oh wow, so you've traveled a nice bit! Yeah, Spanish, I too am attempting to learn it. I use children's books to teach me. So far it has worked kind of well! Yup, we all need a dream! In fact I'm going to bed and hopefully will have a good one! Goodnight !!

Good Morning BYC Pals!
I like your thought! Using children's books to learn Spanish! Great thinking!
Alls well down on the farm. No little darlings killed 3 days and counting, not really.
I'm thinking and hoping something good comes my way in the way of replacing my 2 girls.
Hubby wants to keep the roo and use him to populate the farm.
Americana's, RIR, Buff Orpingtons w/ a who knows what for a donor? Whats your opion researchers of the BYC World!

Hello Everyone!
My niece's daughter Mya who is 10 yr's old raised some chickens in her 4H group. She sent me 5

I'm so proud of her!
I received 2 silkies, 2 buff orpingtons and 1 ? rooster there 18 weeks old. Some traded or kept what they hatched. She traded! Now my question is;

What breed is it?

He's black with a teal sheen to him.
I wish I could take a better picture but he is not a friendly cuss. So I took some in our tractor and this is one of the better ones. He doesn't stay still for us.

Jersey Giant

Well, hubby played in a charity softball tournament for the fire department (the fire department relying on charity to stay open, unreal) and hubby slid into second and stopped rather more suddenly than he had anticipated. The X-rays revealed nothing, which is good, no breaks, just some severe smooshing. He is pathetic right now, trying to be stoic but lapsing into the occasional whine. Poor baby, hope he, and hence I, sleep better tonight.

Hey Amber and Pollo Ray
How's things going in the other parts of this country! It looks like another mcrainy day. Make chores done before it rains. Looks like it will be a wet summer. Still looking for some girls but not one to be found. Craigslist has some but you have to travel 60+ miles to see something that might not be to your liking. I'm in the northern part of NH so theres not to many towns around and the people I know w/ chicks don't know of anything.
