Cross Continental Friends!!!

Sorry for being dumb. My bf was taking the micky out of me the other day because I thought watermelons grew on trees. Well I thought they'd be too heavy to grow on a bush lol. Didnt think they may grow like pumpkins. Oh well.
. Lol well don't feel bad I never knew pineapples grew upside down till I moved to costa rica lol

Boo hoo, were going tomorrow now. It's still raining so my son hasn't come back with the truck! So, we will go 2morrw I can't wait! What do you think of silver laced wyandotttes? Or Columbin? I read on byc site that their mean 2others. Is that true? She also has Cochin, are they nice?
Qwackers, did u get the pattern? I hope so!
It's still raining! God, i'm going nuts! An if u knew me you'd know I was! Lol
. That sux ! I love a chicken run lol as for me the Cochins doo have a great demeanor but are not what I would consider a solid laying hen they are very slow to grow out about two years to make their adult size and weight and as amber said very broody girls I have been hatching some for my mother in law for the last few weeks as she only has two and one roo and wants to increase her flock not my bird of choice but nice none the less they make a great large roaster roaster at about 14 months ..... The slw on the other hand are sturdy birds that lay extremely well a good hen can lay over 240 large brown eggs a year and they reach their full growth at about a year half the time of the Asiatic breeds like the Cochin or brahma the also dress out a very nice carcass in about ten months as for attitude I don't find there demeanor any more agressive that any of my othe American heritage breeds like my New Hampshire,s but as with any mixed flock a pecking order will be established whether they are docile breeds or slightly aggressive breeds hope this helps you
