Cross Continental Friends!!!

It's more down but i have seen some wing feathers too. Is it anything to do with hormones. Noticed the boys voices finally rasping up. Does this mean eggs are on their way?

Hormones, shedding feathers as a part of development but new feathers growing in slowly due to light and heat. In rabbits this stage (teenager) is called the screaming uglies. Give those ducks a little more protein so they will have lovely new feathers and don't worry. I have had quite a few BB's over the years but they got feathers before winter. Oh, BB's are bald birds and I mean bald!

sorry Megan, slight mix up! Karen, hope you find a dog, how's your father? Luke, The chicklets look the same to me from down in the box. You got to flaunt them if you got them!
And Whose Angus, I should know her? She can have him if she's cute and has money! He's fussy hu! lol He's burnt w/ women right now. The last one took the title to his truck and her friend had a quick cash for title company so they forged the paper's and gave her $ for it and so he would have to pay her bill before he could sell his truck! Not to mention she took off.
Luke, I'm In Shelburne, NH the north east part of America. I don't say that offen! wow

Yup , I was on my way back to say much the same thing. screaming uglies, that is hilarious!

Sadly Beth I do believe ducks don't begin to lay eggs till they are six months old. You still have some wait time!

Speaking of lost feathers I have a few hens that are missing the feathers from their beck down their necks. It makes me think of those bare necked birds. Is that the start of molting again>

In that area it could be a number of things really, are they in contact with the rooster? And yes it very well could be molting.

Good Morning everyone! A cloudy day here in S.C. I can hear thunder in the distance. I have a lot to do today, the family is going on a road trip over the weekend. Have to get all the animals and chores straight so my brother can come and watch them for us! Feeling potentially sick, attempting to outrun that!!

BALD!!! Dear god i hope they dont go bald! They were looking so pretty up til now! Ok i will protein them up. Any recommendations other than cat food!?

Luke - Randy the rapist would be a more fitting title, he is aggressive and pulling too many neck feathers out of the girls so he's going it alone for a while.

Protein sources-- Meal worm's, black sunflower seeds, (though that can be expensive),lot's pf fresh green vegies.
