Cross Continental Friends!!!

Hi guys,
We rescued some cows yesterday.
This is Taylor:

This is Quincy:

They were rescued from an abuse situation. I can't say what kind but now they live happily here.

I feel like I can't leave the TV set because there's always something new going on!

I finally found a name that I feel fit's my Cochin. Now you younger "kids" might not know this show cuz it was on in the TV in the 80's I think. It was called "The Carrington's".Don't quote me, I may be wrong because that was such a long time ago.
Anyway, they dressed up in Very, Very Fancy name brand clothing like Coco Chanel, and such. Puffy, Puffy clothes with shoulders like a football player. Well, she made me think of them and so I took their name and cut it short and I am going to call her Carrie! Now remember I bought her 6/13 and it bugged me that she was not laying any eggs. I thought the seller took advantage of me!

and sold me a old hag! But on 7/30 Whoopee!

But they came out the size of a child's toy egg! I can't believe they lay a medium egg when my RIR's and Americana's lay X-large and their so much smaller! When I checked the Cochin's butt for a plugged up butt and their butt hole is so much bigger than my other girls!

Hey nancy! Congrats on the eggs! I dont know what to do with all my eggs. People dont want them around here and angus doesnt like them and I think they are okay but a bit strong tasting. I thought about pickling them for christmas, has anyone ever done this? Wondered if they'd last as long as pickled chicken eggs?

Good on her!!
They do look very healthy and not at abused?

The owner did not abuse them physically (like whipping them, etc.) but kept them in small enclosures with very limited food and water, and Taylor was de-horned. That's all I'm aloud to say, sorry. They were very skinny when they arrived but fattened up quickly.
