The MSPCA, in Methuen, Mass, just took in over 200 ducks most of them pekins. The farm from which they were confiscated is being investigated for allegations of animal cruelty, but in the meanwhile these poor ducks need homes. There are lots and lots of Pekins,(some crested) some Mallards, about two or three small Cayugas (they may be East Indies but they seem too big), a couple of crested Khakis and possibly a Swede.
If anyone can help to adopt any of these poor babies and give them a safe and loving home, please contact the MSPCA at Nevins Farm directly at: (978)687-7453 x6113 or [email protected].

From what I understand, the MSCPA does not have the space or funding
to keep these ducks and I am afraid of what will happen to them if they are not adopted quickly. Anyone who has room for even 1 or 2 additional ducks, PLEASE, these ducks need your help.

You'll need to fill out an adoption form and pick the ducks up from their place, which I believe is about 30 minutes from Boston.

This is truly a desperate situation, so anyone who can help, or even guarantee some ducks a home until they can get up there, please, please help.

I read about that in the paper. Apparently they found lots of chicken & duck carcasses all over the place too. I hope at least some of the rescued ones find loving homes.

its nice that they're even doing this. over here in houston, after they confiscate them, the chickens just get killed. they aren't even put up for adoptions.

I did hear back from them. They want to see photos of my barn and yard etc and it will be $5 per duck. I will drive from NJ to MA in a few days and pick 10-15 of them. Thanks for letting us know.

I saw your post of the creek and the house...it is beautiful. I used to ride horses in FL where the trail used to go through a creek like that. The horses would stop and get a drink from the creek...amazing!!!

Regards/Mohammad.
