Hi there, My cross silkie is sitting on 2 eggs that have chicks inside them. They are due to hatch about 17th April. I plan to move her to her own quarters away from 2 docile hens and 2 six month old ducks. Is this the right thing to do ? as I dont want anything bad to heppen to them. Also how is it best to put the food and water in for mum so chicks don't drown ? Any advice grateful as always Beryl

yes it would probably be best to move her so she is alone. and you don't have to but it is best if you move them at night time, just make sure you talk to her.
For the water is there any way you could put it up high so that only she can reach it? that would be best. and put a little dish of water with rocks or marbles in it for the chicks.
