A couple of months ago we hatched a silkie cross (boy) but we have no idea what he’s crossed with? We would like to know so we can rehome him as we can’t keep boys. The lady we brought the eggs from on had small chickens (Seramas, pekins, frizzles etc) Any ideas?

Based on his body type and carriage I would guess Serama. If it was Pekin, he would be a lot plumper and rounder. Definitely has a silkie parent though!

You could just call him a Silkie cross. It is even possible he’s a mix of mixes (involving silkie).

I’m guessing he’s got some Serama heritage, but there’s no way to be certain.
