I have a golden comet rooster and 3 EE hens there eggs are greenish blue
My question is if I hatch these eggs will the offspring lay green eggs or what color egg will they lay

Here's my understanding of egg genetics. This is based on what I've read, and not on personal experience.

There's a gene that determines if the egg is white or blue (all other chicken egg colors are variations of white and blue). This gene is either O (blue) or o (white). And every chicken has two of those genes. O (blue) is dominate, meaning if either of a chicken's egg genes are O, the eggs will be blue (or green or olive, etc.).

That means that your Easter Egger is either OO or Oo (you won't know for sure which). If she is OO, then all of her chicks will get an O from her, and all will lay blue eggs (actually, olive: see below). If she is is Oo, then half of her chicks will get an O (blue) and half will get an o (white).

The Golden Comet is oo (we know that because no Golden Comets make blue eggs), so all of the chicks will get an o from him. But he has another gene that tints eggs brownish. That makes white eggs brown and blue eggs olive.

The bottom line is that there are two possibilities:

1) All of the (female) chicks end up producing olive colored eggs.

2) Half of the (female) chicks will end up producing olive colored eggs and the other half will produce brown eggs.
