crossbreeding

hi, I don't know if this is in the right forum, but ill try anyway
I just want to know if when a rooster mates with a chicken of a different breed, will they always crossbreed, or will they come out as one of the breeds

it always creates a crossbreed.. it will in no way be a pure bred anything, just a barnyard mix.

It will be a cross breed. It’s interesting to see which set of genes are dominant in the cross though.
I have cross breeds here, some four or five generations in line. Every now and then a chick hatches that looks almost like one of the original breeding pair.

thanks, I recently hatched some chicks and I couldn't tell if they were one of the breeds or both
