I have 1 female jersey giant- white- that my top silkie hen hatched for me. I have all silkies but decided to hatched a jersey
due to problems with doves & scrub jays! Dam jay started eating eggs , which caused me to cull a few silkies due to egg eating!doves the food. Well the jersey girl does her job! She goes right for the jays and the doves! Now I am jay/dove free! Funny thing is the mocking birds dont give me an ounce of trouble, they hate the jays and doves too. Now I am hatching 6 silkie eggs hoping to get a roo back in the flock. I am wondering what a white jersey giant mixed with a Silky roo would look like?

That was one of my other experiments I wanted to try was a silkie giant cross, I think that would be a perfect broody hen, they still lay good eggs and imagine how many eggs they would be able to sit on with thier size!?
