Does anyone know if itsnpossible for two seperate species to breed together (e.g. pekin and indian runner) that's just an example and if you have any mix breeds please post a picture.

Any of the mallard derived breeds (basically all domestic ducks) can mate and produce fertile offspring. Muscovies crossed on the mallard derived breeds will produce sterile offspring.

So yes is what your saying so I coul have an indian runner pekin cross ducklings in 3 weeks

It can happen . They are called hybrids . Mostly all breeds today were mixed with another breed to make them who they are . But if you hatch the ducklings and they aren't compatible it isn't always the best like if you hatch a Indian runner with a Pekin i believe it won't be good because the Indian runner is such a light weight bird and the Pekin is heavy and the genes they get might not be fortunate they may have bad feet or necks and other problems ! But yes it can be done

Well if you are that worried if you aren't incubating or the brooding process hasn't started you can collect the eggs because a duckling forms . You can try candling the eggs to see if any ducklings are formed yet ! Most people have an equal amount of ducks and when breeding season comes they pair them up and put them in separate stalls or places to make sure .

Yah good idea about candling I'll do that. And mine are free roam and I don't put them inside till about 7 pm but I guess I should start doing that at nite

Or you can just collect the eggs every morning I haven't tried them but people say duck eggs are very good for baking and they have GOP protein ! Good luck I hope all goes well!

Realistically, crosses are generally blessed with hybrid vigor and have few physical problems. Any cross ducklings that you might hatch would most likely be strong and vigorous.
