Hi Folk, i have a question to the Spalding Specialists among you!
What color are the chicks when crossing a High Spalding Hen with a Peach Pied White Eye Cock?
I can't solve it with the punnet Quadrat.
What do you mean?

Peach is a sex-linked color so all of the hen chicks no matter what hen you use will be Peach, all of the cock chicks will be split to Peach although they will look like the normal Wild Type pattern.

You mention the cock is either WE or split to WE but no mention of the hens pattern(s) so I can not comment on the pattern outcome. WE does not breed true, it can or may not pass to the offspring.

Adding Green blood to the sex-linked colors does not always improve the color. It may brighten some birds, it can darken some, and it will muddle the color. Adding Green blood normally improves the body characteristics at the cost of the once nice original color.

Thank you for your answer KsKingBee! The Emerald Spalding Hen looks like more Green Peafowl ,please look at the picture.
I can't imagine how the high Spalding is passed on.

She is not high enough to be called Emerald, that is in the 75% range, what we call 'better than mid'. She is more like low to mid-range. Once a hen has a reddish neck and barring they will be considered in the upper range. The body traits like a long neck and legs, a lean and long body and a crest that is tight and leaning forward are better signs of Green blood. Just remember 'Spalding does not breed true', the will often look either higher or lower than their parents.
