Crow collar best solution?

If it isn't illegal to have a roo where you live? Otherwise perhaps sound ordinances may be a problem? Otherwise if your neighbors don't like your rooster crowing there isn't much they can do about it. If you happen to want to keep good will with your neighbors anyways, you could re-home the roo. Or you could give them free eggs, (which will help with be-friending neighbors unsure about rooster/chickens in general). Are you sure your neighbors care?

No they don’t care. Actually he’s a house pet so he’s allowed in my city.

He stays in a “Serama Townhouse” in a child free area of my home and I hatched him myself so I know he’s
Not vicious.

His crow is t that loud

Well, so if it's not against the law, and they don't care, and his crow isn't that loud then there isn't a problem unless you're worried about him waking you up or otherwise disrupting your day. But if he isn't that loud and doesn't crow at night, then keeping everything as is should be fine. I don't know much about Crow collars, but if they do hurt him in some way then it's best not to use them. Also, according to another person in this forum they are largely ineffective, though I've never confirmed that myself.

View attachment 1679276 I have a micro Serama roo, absolutely obsessed with him. He works well in our house save for one thing- he crows quite a bit as roosters generally do. I’m nervous when it’s summer our neighbors will complain. I don’t personally mind it and he doesn’t crow at night ... yet.

My farmer friend recommended a crow collar. When I put it on him, he FLIPPED OUT. I mean really stressed. Is there anything anyone else can recommend that will work for the crow, or do I have to rehome him :( ?

Or is there any brand of crow collar that won’t stress him as bad? What do y’all do? He’s like the size of a small book fully grown.

Still cant figure out how to update. Anyhow, he's a tiny tiny micro rooster and I love him. I definitely agree with yall about the crow collar and maybe I was given bad advice by my friend. She's a pro but I dont think she uses them either, she has a huge farm. Anyhow, I'm letting him do his thang.

He's not bothering me nor have my neighbors complained. He's a house pet and that IS allowed in my city. So its all good.
I appreciate everyone's input very good points.

Yeah I think maybe I was given some crappy advice on them. I'm letting this boy do his thang :)
