Crowing and moaning.

I have noticed something new in the flock. Whenever they are huddled somewhere and the cockerel crows, it is followed immediately, by one of the hens making a low "woohoo" type sound. Any idea what that is about?

I would have thought she is asking him to can it already, because he is giving her a headache.

That's definitely an option. Only the hen knows for sure.

On a side note, they are all youngsters and the pullet who hangs with him always has just started growing a comb and wattles. So maybe she is encouraging him.
