Crowing at 10 weeks old???

I couldn't resist; our one and only Fayoumi cockerel, who went to a new home shortly after these photos.
Someday maybe more will come here, but there's no room now!

The black chicken in the top picture looks just like my young rooster Pepper!!! What kind is it?? Pepper was a founding and Ive been told hes a peafowl mix, an Astralorpe or mix. Not being able to see the whole body I can't tell how far the resemblance goes. Here's my Pepper from last nights meander into the kitchen. He's about 15 weeks we're guessing. See the resemblance to yours at least in the face?

I think 10 weeks is in the normal range for a young cockerel to start trying to crow.

I have some production blues. They're blue australorps mixed with RIRs. Here's one of my prettiest ones.
