I have a baby rooster only 10 weeks old and early this morning taking my daughter to school he is already making noises like he is trying to crow. He is crossed with rhode island red rooster and a black astrolorpe hen. Going to be a beautiful rooster but Is this normal so young?

They are all so different. We have 7. One is named “Squeaks”. He's been trying to crow since he was very young and is now over a year and still doesn't. 😂 He has his three hens and runs from my main Roo “Wilson”. I'm currently watching “Squeaks” run around in the yard chasing something that isn't there.

I think 10 weeks is in the normal range for a young cockerel to start trying to crow.

I have some production blues. They're blue australorps mixed with RIRs. Here's one of my prettiest ones.

I couldn't resist; our one and only Fayoumi cockerel, who went to a new home shortly after these photos.
Someday maybe more will come here, but there's no room now!

Wow he's so cute! 😍 The chick in my profile is my Egyptian Fayoumi pullet named Baby Bean, hence my username!:D Now she looks like yours, just she only has white on her neck and a small comb!
