I would say a roo. You can build him his own little house, so that he can not extend enough to crow when the sun rises. Then let him out after the sun comes up.

I posted an ad on craigslist.com and here and had a couple people email me from the craig's list ad... I just don't feel comfortable giving him away to total strangers. What if he's mistreated? I would have no way of knowing it...
