crowing hen-how to stop it?

I have had 3 hens that "crowed". Typically it was just a few times in the morning. One of them was too aggressive and crazy (I learned that Blue Andalusians are not good backyard city chickens) and she was relocated moved to the country. The other two eventually stopped. No guarantee yours will stop too (if it is indeed a hen), but if it is only once a day is it that big of a deal? The egg songs from my others are as loud as the hen crowing, and goes on longer, so the hen crowing never bothered me much (although I did lock them in until 8 am sometimes when I want to wake up so it didn't happen at sunrise).

The "crowing" doesn't bother me but my neighbours are just a few meters away. She seemed to have stopped now

and the two long tail feathers have also dropped. I think she decided to stay as a hen...phew.......still waiting for an egg though...lol...

One of my hens started to crow as she became the dominant hen. The original dominant hen got sick and there was some jostling for position. Since she established her self at top of pecking order the crowing stopped.

I wouldn't worry about a crowing hen or roo where neighbors are concerned, unless that means that there never is a loose dog or cat and that they don't want me to look out for them or run to their children's rescue if they fall off their bikes.....which I would anyway. I guess that means that their dogs don't bark either.
But I can't remember not having a rooster, except for a very short period and for a very unusual reason, but I did have a silver-spangled hamburg hen lay an egg in my bananna trees, walk about 30 feet and crow right in front of me. She didn't do it often like she would have if she was a rooster, but she was capable.
I never considered if she was laying fertile eggs or not. I just ate them.
