My dog barked to go out this morning. It was 5:30ish am. I took him out, and surprisingly heard what was an attempted crow! šŸ˜³ I have 6 chicks, all suppose to be laying hens, all 8 weeks old. Is this possible? Can a hen crow? I figured out it is my Americauna/EE, she is the dominate one of the flock, the biggest one, etc... so could it just be because of that? None are laying yet, so, itā€™s hard to say whether or not she has the ability to lay and isnā€™t or is still. Basically, right now, Iā€™m very confused and not real sure of what to do. Itā€™s a crappy crow, but I donā€™t want anything that crows, my neighbors will not go for that. Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Iā€™ll take a pic when I get home. The only ones I have are old. I took video this morning but I canā€™t get it to load. But Iā€™ll get some pics ASAP! Thanks yā€™all!

Here shim is! Lol her/his name is ironically Chandler. Our chicks are all ā€œFriends,ā€ but of course our one that ā€œcrowsā€ is the only name that was given to a boy and girl on the show šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚
Thanks for yalls help!

I feel for you. I discovered today as well that my Jersey Giant "Black Betty" is a boy. I am going to try a rooster collar first. If that doesn't work, I have a friend down the road on a farm that said she would take him. He's a sweet boy and very pretty. If he stays, I'm still going to call him Betty šŸ¤£ maybe try a rooster collar?a

we ended up taking him back to the lady that we got him from. We got another hen from her also. Iā€™m sorry about Betty, thatā€™s no fun. Hopefully the collar works, Iā€™ve seen a lot of people say that they do.
