Crowing hen

Ok call me crazy but I swear my hen is trying to crow. Is that normal? I mean she lays eggs and does everything else a normal hen does but I swear she is trying to crow!

Do you have a rooster? Sometimes hens crow if there isn’t a rooster. I’ve had hens crow. What breed is she? My laughing chicken hen crowed and her laugh was better than the boy’s!!

I have a crowing hen and two roosters. She doesn't do it often and sounds horrible compared to the boys, but she crows none the less.

Yes we have 3 roosters, I noticed her trying to crow the same time as the roosters. As for her breed we're not sure. We found her a little over a year ago, she was tiny sort of cotton ball looking. She's black and her crown looks kind of like a rose bud, if that's any help.

Sounds like a Silkie.
My girl started crowing when two bantam cockerels found their voices. She never crowed before they arrived when I had one or two LF roosters. I think she was competing with them.
I now have one LF and one bantam rooster. She goes off most often when the bantam sounds off.
