Crowing hen?

I have a hen and she's about a year old now. I've had her since she was a chick but she's now just started crowing like a cockerel and her comb and wattles are getting bigger like a cockerel, also her tail feathers are starting to look like a cockerels would. She's difinitely a hen as I've seen her lay eggs before. Will she turn into a cockerel? Does anyone know what could have caused this and is there anything I can do?

Well if there is no rooster in the flock then sometimes one of the hens start crowing for the rooster. She will not turn in to a rooster. She will breed with them either.

Thank you. Glad she won't turn into a male. We have got a rooster in the flock with them. I read somewhere it could be something to do with a hormone imbalance? Could this be it?

Maybe. But my friends hen crows and there is a rooster in the there flock so I wouldn't worry about it unless she stopped giving you eggs
