I have 3 adult bantam hens. They have all been laying eggs for about a year. Recently I introduced 4 other bantam chicks, about 14wks old, they all seem to be female (no spurs). But ever since I brought out the chicks I've been woken up to crowing; this is weird because I don't have a rooster (I don't think so anyways). I searched this up and read that if you have a hen-only-flock, the hen on top of the pecking order may start showing male traits. I was wondering if anybody else has a hen who shows male traits/crows. Also how can you tell the sex of a chick. Thanks.

Here is a picture of the hen I think is crowing.

Do you have pictures of the chicks? Males don't really start to show spurs until they are close to a year old. Cockerels won't have them.

Here are the chicks and there are four of them, they just look a lot alike!!
