What kind of chickens do you have Heidi? A rooster won't crow until he wants to.
Sorry,not a great answer. Some start as early as 3 months and some wont crow until they are 6 months old. I have a Serama that hatched last September who just started crowing but I also have a Welsummer/RIR who crowed at about 3 months.

We have 3 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Ameracauna, 1 Barred Rock and 1 White Leghorn. They have become our daily source of entertainment! We spend hours sitting outside watching them. Last night when we put then in their coop, I sat down on the floor and Forest, one of the Ameracanas, came over and jumped on onto my knee and went to sleep. She was very comfortable!! Hubby had to step in and move her to help me off the floor (health issues)
