Crowing

Yeah neighbours. And my partner hates the noise. I'm in an aboriginal comnunity.there's no law saying I'm not allowed roosters. But I've also got 2 young Australorp cockerals starting to crow. I'm keeping them for breeding. I love the crowing. The misses makes it hard. She winges all the time. I've got one collar on my older 11 month old rooster. The noise is decreased abit.he can still eat and breath and mate.

Boy chickens are loud. Those collars get caught on things and can kill your chicken by choking to death or making them nice and stuck for predators. I know from experience. Some roosters crow loudly and and the rest crow even louder. I've yet to find a rooster that didn't, TBH and I live in a suburb with a rooster.

Why can't you come to a compromise with your wife? Whinging is never a good way to describe someone you love and cherish and has unmet needs. How are you going to deal with it if your neighbors don't like it if you can't even deal with the person you love?

You're on Aboriginal lands. Did the Aborigines make the laws? Are you Aboriginal or a non native? Are you trying to break the laws of a native people who don't own most of their ancestral lands? If the native people want to be able to own roosters on their land you can always get them to try to join you to petition to change the law.

The comments about my partner.that's Australian Slang. That's the way we talk. Nah there is no laws about roosters here. I was just seeing if there was any other tips or ways to slow down the crowing because I have respect for my neibours. No one is complaining. The rooster problem is solved anyways. I'm part aboriginal and so is my partner. All good mate.
