Crowless Cochins?????

    I have a bantam cochin rooster and a giant cochin rooster they are free range with 10= hens...neither of them do the "chicken dance" or crow anymore can anyone tell me why????

    Some roosters don't dance at all, so if they never did it before, there's no reason for them to start. But for the crowing, I have no idea [​IMG] A submissive rooster sometimes won't crow when there's a dominant rooster present, but for both of them not to crow is strange.

    They used too the start of this fall they both stopped and are both only 9mths old

    Did anything happen recently with regard to a predator attack?

    Did you rehome or butcher any other roosters in your flock recently?

    Do you have any "bossy betties" in your henny pennies?

    Any sign of illness? When mine stopped crowing, he eventually became quite ill.
