I have not doubt that a crow would kill a chicken if it could, but make sure it was a crow, it could have just died and then the crow ate it. I have had a crow get interested in chicks, but never a full size chicken. They will gang up and employ some rather complicated strategies to kill something. Very intelligent animals.
