Crumbles v/s pellets

Welcome here mate,,

I think you need to go with pelleted feed for this type of feeder as it keeps crumbles inside due to their big size. So, either you change the feeder with bigger one or change the type of feed. or try to crumle the crumbles once more :P :)

@KikisGirls does fermented feed. It's extremely popular with a lot of folks--but not practical for me. I really don't understand the process as I've never tried it--but a lot of folks love the approach.
Get a container (not metal) add a cup of feed to it....fill it water, wait about 30 minutes and then add some more water. (the feed will soak up a lot of the water you will want it slightly covered with water)
Walk away.
Stir it when ever you feel like it, sometimes I stir mine sometimes I don't.
Walk away.
Let it sit for a few days and wallah <(is that how it's spelled?)
It's fermented.
You will see some yucky looking stuff sitting on the top...it's good "stuff".
Try one small batch like this...
(just one cup of feed)
wait a coupe of days and serve it to your chickens...see who scarfs it down the fastest.
They will think you are giving them an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top.

Thank you very much for the information!
Because I only have 3 girls, we use a small mobile coop. Anything I put on the ground ends up with poo in it. :/ That's why I've been using a hanging feeder. Our coop is about 3'x12'. That includes the feed/water area which is under their enclosed/raised roosting area.
I wouldn't mind trying the fermenting process but I'm not sure it will be feasible for us to do all the time.
I do appreciate the information.
:)

I'm killing myself laughing at myself right now.
Thanks!
Haahahahahaha you are always welcome. Btw, my mother tongue is Arabic not English so it is another bom-bam here
And the best part is I have a college education!
My mom would poop her pants if she saw that post of mine!
Oh gosh that's another laughing-stimulating story
