I have heard that if you wash then bake the egg shells, you can feed them as a calcium supplement. Is this true? How do you do it?

To prevent your birds from pecking at their own eggs, the shells you give them must be crushed so they don't look like shells. If you're planning to store some, baking at a low heat to dry them out will make them easier to crumble and greatly improve the shelf-life.
