I am wondering how fine I should crush the egg shells before feeding them back to my flock. Thanks

I try to get them to be roughly 1/4" to 1/2" in size but don't stress too much over it. If a piece is too big they will just pick it up and strike it against the ground to break it themselves.

Good to know. I have been getting them about that size or smaller with a potato masher. I'll keep it up. Thanks!

I just mash them in my hand before they go into the countertop compost bucket. That gets emptied into the chix run every day. All one need do is make eggshells unrecognized as eggshells. The chix will do the rest

Oh that's simple. I have been setting them aside, drying, mashing, and then adding them to their scratch (which they get a when I need to move them). Your method sounds much simpler.
