Crusty chick

Hi, just wanting some advice, my chick hatched yesterday, & has been in the incubator overnight to dry out, but it doesn't look fluffy & has dried a bit crispy, what can I do?

Take it out of the incubator and put it into the brooder. It should be okay if it's dry. It will look better in a day or 2. I am wondering if you have a Chinese incubater. Because I had one and my chicks had that crusty look about them. I think the fan in them is not great so chicks don't fluff up really well.

That is usually a sign that your humidity was too high during incubation.
