Crusty eyes

One of my 10 week old girls has crusty eyes. I have bathed her eyes daily for almost a week with warm saline & vet rx. She seems fine for the day her eyes are open then by the next morning her eyes are crusty again. She has a bad odor to her. I do have her separated from the rest of my girls. I just don't know what to do for her other than this. Does anyone know what this is?

Vet RX is the same thing as vicks vapor rub essentially... I would think it should NOT go in the eyes... and consider it to be mostly snake oil. I would think Vetrycin eye ointment or triple antibiotic or neosporin without pain reliever would be a better choice if anything.

The bad odor you mention... is it coming from her mouth, body or where?

Is she currently on a chick starter feed? Any other treats or supplements? Any sneezing, or itching, labored breathing, crusty nostrils, abnormal droppings? Where did she come from?

I might suggest some probiotics be offered... a small amount of yogurt, buttermilk, sour cream, fermented feed, RAW apple cider vinegar in water, or something to that effect.
