Crusty head - dermatitis

-Hello, we had a really bad mite infestation. Now it seems to be under control, but one 5 month old chicken developed a really bad dermatitis, so that her eyes couldn't open and her ears were plugged. I went to a vet and he cleaned her ears, and prescribed Malaseb flush daily for 3 weeks + antibiotic eye and ear drops. I have been doing it for 2 weeks and I don't see much improvement, at least it doesn't go away. In addition to that her head now is covered with white staff, as if someone put white powder in between her feathers.
I tried Vetericyn healing spray, but didn't notice much difference. Now her ears a plugged again and she opens her mouth often, as if yawning.
Have you ever had anything like that? What do you use to clean the ears?

Hard to see the white stuff, could it be lice nits?

How did you treat the mites? You eliminated them from housing/coop correct?

It's often best to re-consult the vet if treatment is not working. See if they suggest another method of treatment.

You could try an anti-inflammatory cream to see if that makes a difference. If there's still mites, then she's still going to have some problems.
