My chicks are 3 weeks old I have decided to put them on my patio for the night with lamp and blanket the low will be 61 degree tonight in Arizona would that be ok they chirp frantically every night inside idk why but its Angelina my oldest daughters chick that is the loudest

At 3 weeks of age the chicks aren't fully feathered so the heat lamp should be set up at one end creating a warm area around 80 degrees for them. How warm is it in the brooder? If the chicks are all huddled together under the lamp, they are too cold; if they are running in and out of the warmer spot they are comfortable; if they're panting and staying away from the warm spot, they are too hot.

How are you using the blanket? Is your brooder safe from predators on the patio?
