LOL your too funny

But, if you just sell from your backyard and/or give away a chicken from your back yard no dealer license is needed. However, if you go to a show, swap, or ship online through usps, you are supposed to have a dealers license in the State of CT.

Beth, do you have to be a dealer in order to GIVE AWAY a chicken? Or, say, TRADE a chicken fir other goods and/or services?

Hmmmmm. Party, eh? How many people (clutching photos of their chickens that may or may not be in the trunk of their car) are we talking about who may or may not be willing to drive to the Naugatuck Valley area on, say, the first weekend in October?

A few of the folks in that meet up are kinda ahhhh well I do not want to say....
hmm.png

But, I do like a few peeps I've been chatting through email with. I guess we all can't like everyone

I didn't dislike anyone, but I felt people thought they knew more about things than they did. I know just enough to know I don't know anything!

Hubby has agreed we can have a party in our backyard! There is a large church parking lot next door... I can't be responsible for any covert activity that may occur in the parking lot or in my garage.

It would have to be Oct 1, though, as I have plans for the weekend the original get-together was planned.

Of course, this will be invitation-only for a select few, close and personal friends..... (coughjustPMmecough).

Let's get together, folks! We will keep the grill hot - bring a pot luck dish to share. 11am - 4pm?? No smoking, cussing or canines, please!

Date: October 1, 2011
Time: 11am - 4pm
Where: Derby CT (PM for address)
ALL BIRDS MUST BE TESTED OR COME FROM A TESTED FLOCK - PLEASE BRING COPIES OF PROOF OF TESTING TO GIVE TO EACH BUYER.
Hens and chicks may be brought onto my property and shown in my garage. Because I live in town, Roos/Turkeys/Peafowl etc may be tricky. Please let me know if you are planning to bring any of those to the party so we can plan on how to accommodate them.

I'm in for a nice chicken chat cookout
