CT Chickenstock-2009

We've got a grill here so no need to pack one. Wings sound great for potluck, and whatever else you want to bring is fine. As to bringing your dogs, that might be a possibility but I'd prefer not. We've got 2 energetic dogs in residence here and I can't always make the claim that mine are extemely well behaved! Plus we're going to have lots of chickens and people and activities. Why don't you try to line someone up to watch them? If you can't, we'll talk more.

OK, so I'm a tad confused and want to get it straight in my head. The swap is at Moose Hill Farm? Or does the farm have another name? I have a friend who is a BYC member but very quiet on the forums and she has trouble sorting through all the posts to find stuff. She would like to attend a swap and you guys are probably the closest for her. So if I can give her a concise answer as to where the swap will be it would help her out a lot. I can let her know the date and location through e-mail and give her a direct link to this thread so maybe she can join in. She really is a great person and is really looking forward to meeting other BYC members and making some new friends.

Thanks!

I am coming to Chickenstock! Moosehill, I will bring the brown egg layers you want. I have 90 (!) little fuzz butts to care for that arrived on monday . They are in 2 brooders, but I have to set up a 3rd today cause I don't like to crowd them. I got them from MMM. 25 str. run feather foots, 15 BLR wyandottes, and 50 brown egg layers. I must have at least 10 varieties. I can't ID some of them, I will have to wait till they feather out some. I am really looking forward to meeting all of you. I am not much of an on-line communicator, but try to keep up on the news. I will need directions when you post them, will probably bring DH with me. I said brown egg layers, not roosters!

I've put this on my calendar and hope to be there for the fun! I just hope my kids don't have bball practice or a bday party come up to get in my way

I will probably have a few chicks to sell/trade. I have a batch in the incubator now and more going in at the end of the week.

Swampyankee... if you could possibly save me a BLRW pullet I will definitely take it!!

Ah, well then maybe I'll need two or three! I'll see what the next month brings. Just know I want at least one and I plan on coming!
