Does anyone have pictures of Cuckoo Dorking Chicks? I just got some from Sand Hill Preservation center and they all look the same to me, I though you would be able to tell the difference in sexes like you can my Red Dorkings! They are adorable, and the beginning of my Dorking Creole project!

Well first, those aren't true Cuckoos. There's something else in there.

Second - Look at the faint white spot on the top of their head/neck. If it is small, it is a female. If it is large and smudges out to the base of the neck, it is a male. The last photo shows a girl. The photo of them all in a box shows a lot of boys though.

Thanks so much for your help. there are some filler chicks in there, and also these "cuckoos" are not up to standard yet as stated by Sandhill preservation center where I got them. I hope to get a few that are close to standard and mate them with my Red Dorking roo. I was just happy to find them so close by!
